Do you love your liver?

Did you know that as we get older our bodies don’t quite work the same way as they did when we were younger especially our liver which is the main detoxifier in our body?

Our large intestine is a conduit for elimination of waste but the liver is responsible for the breakdown of toxic substances and is the cleanser and filter for the bloodstream. The liver is quite sophisticated and secretes vital digestive juices that help us process and properly absorb essential nutrients. When the liver is overtaxed, it will greatly impact how you look and feel and have a direct and immediate effect on your overall state of health.

A strong liver means improved digestion. A strong liver means better metabolism and fat-burning ability. If the body is flooded with all of the trace minerals, amino acids, and vitamins that it needs, the now healthier liver can better utilize these nutrients thus improving health on all levels. A balanced nutritional program with adequate calories, proteins, fats and carbohydrates can actually help the damaged liver to regenerate new liver cells. In fact, with many liver diseases, nutrition becomes an essential, accepted form of treatment.

SO PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LIVER AND LIVE LONGER!!!

Are Diets Really Healthy?

Do you know a person that went on a diet and lost the weight initially but the weight came back eventually and then some?
Have you ever wondered why this happens? Here’s the scoop: When people go on diets they lose primarily water and then fat tissue but they don’t lose the toxin chemicals that accumulate over the years in their fat tissue. These chemicals tend to concentrate in the remaining fat tissue up to a certain point. When the concentration of toxins is too high, that person gains back their fat tissue rapidly. This rebound is called the “yo-yo” effect. People who have been dieting for years experience this over and over and then they search for the next miracle and next diet program to try.

The weight loss industry is a $43 billion industry with nearly a 100% failure rate and that is the reason!!!!

There are basically 2 categories of diets: “Traditional diets” are the type of diets that are based on the premise calories in versus calories out and this is accomplished by reducing your calories, fat and sugar intake. Examples would be Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem or a diet prescribed by a doctor. THe “fad” diets are usually gimmick diets and involve essentially starvation or the elimination of one specific good item like no carbs or eating only grapefruit or cabbage soup. Examples would be South Beach Diet or the Atkins Diet.

Unfortunately, diets do not address 3 important areas: 1) They don’t rid the body of toxins 2) They don’t strengthen your immune system 3) They don’t offer the proper nutritional balance that you really need.
Traditional diets will obviously offer more nutrition than the fad diets but both fall short on increasing your nutritional support unless a person is taking supplements to replace what they’ve lost through the restriction.

The trick is to lose the toxins first and the body will automatically lose excess fat as a “side benefit.” A good cleansing program should prepare the body to cleanse, stabilize sugar levels while cleansing (which prevents cravings), build muscle mass at the same time as the fat tissue disappears, and finally cleanse the body. This combination makes it a very efficient way to cleanse and lose the weight for good.
